Assistant Coaching - Spring Sports East High School & Prairie Winds Middle School Positions are available for Spring Sport Coaches with Mankato East Athletics beginning March 2026. These positions are for approximately 2 hours per day/5 days per week (after school). Spring sports:
• Adapted Bowling • Baseball • Boys/Girls Golf • Boys/Girls Lacrosse • Girls Softball • Boys Tennis • Boys/Girls Track
Summary of Duties:
Prepare successful practice and performance plans while encouraging student participation, establishing team rapport, and motivating participants to achieve maximum potential.
Be an example of sportsmanship
Maintain equipment and inventory of all equipment, including uniforms.
Supervise all areas of participation, including but not limited to: gyms, fields, locker rooms, buses, pools, etc.
Work collaboratively with other coaching staff, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations of the MSHSL
Preferred Qualities:
Previous participation and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
Qualifications Required:
Must meet MSHSL and Board guidelines
Application Deadline: April 1, 2026, or until filled.
Rate of Pay: $1,823 to $4,725 depending on level, activity, and experience.
