Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Civil Detailer to support a variety of civil and underground design projects. This role will assist engineers and designers in preparing detailed drawings and developing design models using CAD software. The position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects and opportunities for growth within a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparing detailed drawings using standardized drafting techniques based on sketches, verbal instructions, and engineering notes
• Develop initial design models by compiling drawings, calculations, and concepts provided by engineers
• Apply company, client, and project standards to produce control schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment connection diagrams
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to verify design requirements and ensure accuracy
• Support a wide range of drafting activities, including layout, detailing, and problem analysis across varied projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers and drafters in other disciplines
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Execute design updates and revisions to project drawings
• Maintain and continue developing proficiency in CAD systems
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology or related field with 2+ years of experience, OR
• Associate degree with 3+ years of experience, OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of progressive detailing/design experience

Preferred Qualifications (Higher-Level Candidates)

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, OR
• Associate degree with 5+ years of experience, OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience
