Job Summary:

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is seeking a full-time Chief of Emergency Medicine to lead our practice in Okeechobee, Florida.

 

Qualified Candidates

  •  Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
  • Will consider Board-Certified Family Medicine (ABFM) or Board-Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) with a minimum of 24 months of current Emergency Medicine experience
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Emergency Department

  •  30,000 Emergency Medicine visits per year
  • 14-bed Emergency Department, including 3 fast-track including 2 dedicated trauma rooms
  • Multi-million-dollar expansion starting in early spring 2026 adding 11 additional bays, 2 behavioral health safe rooms, dedicated physician workspace
  • 20% admission rate
  • 24 hours of physician coverage
  • 24 hours of APP coverage
  • Active partnership with sister facility in close proximity for Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and Pediatric support/transfers
