SUMMARY:
As the Engineering Manager, you'll assist in supervising all aspects of the building's equipment
including preventative maintenance and repairs, monitoring the security and life safety systems in
coordination with the Security team, assist in the administration of recruitment, training, scheduling,
and payroll for all Engineering team members.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of 2+ years related experience as an Engineering
Supervisor at a full-service hotel. Prior experience with building maintenance systems and
processes required, preferably in a supervisory capacity. Required to have a Fire Safety Director
Certification.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally
with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult
situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, report, or schedule form. Regularly exercise independent judgment and
discretion about matters of significance.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to
bend, crouch, kneel, crawl, squat, climb ladders and stairs, balance, reach, twist, stretch, push, pull,
handle (hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with hand or hands), finger (picking, pinching, fine
manipulation), stand, walk, see, hear, write and speak. The employee is frequently required to use
a keyboard and dial. The employee is minimally required to collate/file and sit. The employee is
constantly required to lift and/or move between 10-50lbs, frequently required to lift and/or move up
to 75lbs, and occasionally required to lift and/or move 100+lbs. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to
produce detailed work, use reasoning skills, use written and verbal communication, have customer
contact, handle multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. The employee is frequently
required to use math skills. The employee is minimally required to give presentations.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be moderately
exposed to heat, odor, fumes, dampness, dirt, oil, grease, noise, vibrations, and will continuously
use tools and equipment. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and
sometimes in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious
places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and at risk of electrical shock,
and is required to operate hand tools.
