Build Leadership Experience While Helping Students Succeed

• We are looking for dependable, coachable, and growth-oriented college students, recent graduates, and other qualified candidates who want to develop professional leadership experience while making a meaningful difference for students.
• At Mathnasium, we do more than help students complete worksheets. We help students understand mathematics, build confidence, strengthen critical-thinking skills, and discover what they are capable of becoming.

Your Training and Career Path

• New hires will begin with a period working and training as a Mathnasium Instructor. This hands-on experience allows you to learn the Mathnasium Method, understand the student experience, become familiar with center standards, and demonstrate the reliability, communication, and leadership potential required for the Assistant Center Director role.
• The instructor training period generally lasts approximately 30–60 days. The initial training rate is typically $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Candidates who successfully complete training and demonstrate readiness are expected to transition into Assistant Center Director responsibilities within approximately 30–60 days. Upon successful transition into the role, pay will increase to $22 per hour.
• Advancement is based on demonstrated readiness and successful completion of training expectations, not time alone.
• After transitioning into the Assistant Center Director role, employees may progress from $22 to $26 per hour based on sustained performance, relevant experience, increased availability, expanded capability, and the level of responsibility they are prepared to own.

About the Position

• The Assistant Center Director is a developing center leader. This part-time position combines student instruction, parent communication, staff support, enrollment follow-up, and daily center operations.
• You will work directly with students and instructors while learning how a successful learning center operates. As you demonstrate readiness, you may take on responsibilities such as supporting student assessments and learning plans, monitoring progress, coordinating schedules, maintaining documentation, communicating with families, helping train instructors, and following up with prospective families.
• This position includes customer service, sales, and enrollment responsibilities. Our approach is not to pressure families. We listen carefully, understand their needs, explain how Mathnasium can help, follow up professionally, and confidently ask families to enroll when the program is a good fit.

Support Student Success

• You will help students learn through the Mathnasium Method and create an environment where they feel welcomed, encouraged, and appropriately challenged.
• You will monitor student engagement, support other instructors, assist with assessments and learning plans, and help students develop confidence, perseverance, independence, and stronger problem-solving skills.
• Our goal is not simply to help students complete more work. Our goal is to help them understand mathematics and leave each session more confident than when they arrived.

Communicate With Parents

• You will help build strong relationships with families and communicate professionally about their child’s experience and progress.
• You will listen carefully, provide clear updates, follow through on commitments, and involve senior leadership when additional support is needed.
• As you grow in the role, you will learn how to help parents recognize improvements in their child’s confidence, critical thinking, perseverance, independence, and willingness to attempt challenging work.

Support Enrollment and Center Growth

• You will help respond to prospective families, schedule assessments and consultations, answer questions, and explain the value of the Mathnasium program.
• You should be willing to develop confidence speaking with parents, following up with prospective families, discussing program options, and asking for an enrollment decision when appropriate.

Support and Guide Instructors

• You will help answer instructor questions, monitor the instructional floor, reinforce expectations, and provide respectful support and coaching.
• You will model professionalism, preparation, reliability, and ownership.
• As your capabilities grow, you may help train new employees and support the team without depending on a manager for every decision.

Support Center Operations

• You will help maintain a center that is clean, organized, safe, welcoming, and prepared for students and families.
• Responsibilities may include opening and closing procedures, scheduling, student notes, parent communication, supply organization, technology, training support, administrative work, and other tasks needed to operate the center effectively.
• We expect team members to notice what needs attention and help address it rather than assuming someone else will take care of it.
