Position Summary- Assistant Campus Manager- Xtreme Kidz (Greenbelt) - Closes 07/31/2026

The Assistant Campus Manager & Worship Liaison is a full-time role that blends campus-based execution and global worship coordination to support an excellent experience of Xtreme Kidz. This person reports directly to the Campus Manager and assists with weekend service flow, volunteer coordination, parent communication, and campus logistics, including the XK Store. They have a dotted line to the Global Children’s Ministry Director. In their worship liaison role, they partner with the We Are Zion Music Team to ensure worship across all campuses is consistent, age-appropriate, and spiritually impactful.
 

Essential Duties 

Weekend Service Operations
  • Support the setup, execution, and breakdown of weekend services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Campus Manager.
  • Assist in implementing curriculum, service elements, and Sunday communication tools.
  • Address and resolve concerns from parents, children, and volunteers with professionalism and care.
  • Assist with the weekly execution of the XK Store to provide a smooth and engaging experience for children.
Volunteer Leadership
  • Assist with recruiting, scheduling, onboarding, training, and encouraging volunteers.
  • Maintain regular communication to ensure volunteers are prepared and supported.
  • Track volunteer attendance, scheduling needs, and communicate updates to the Campus Manager.
Administrative & Ministry Support
  • Maintain accurate schedules, rosters, attendance, and ministry documentation using the church management system.
  • Assist with planning and executing campus events, outreach opportunities, and special ministry initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Communications, Production, Security, and other ministry departments to ensure successful ministry execution
Global Responsibilities (Worship Liaison Leader)

Worship Planning & Coordination
  • Partner with the We Are Zion Music (WAZM) Team to create, coordinate consistent, engaging, and age-appropriate worship experiences across all Xtreme Kidz campuses.
  • Collaborate on worship song selection that supports the monthly curriculum and ministry objectives
  • Coordinate weekly worship schedules, assignments, and communication with the We Are Zion Music Lead. 
  • Communicate weekly worship updates, setlists, assigned vocalists, and schedule changes with Campus Managers.
  • Maintain accurate worship schedules and related information within the ministry's scheduling platform.
Worship Leader Development
  • Support the coaching and development of children's worship leaders in age-appropriate communication, stage presence, transitions, and engagement techniques.
  • Attend rehearsals as needed to provide feedback and ensure team preparedness.
  • Worship Excellence & Ministry Alignment
  • Review worship experiences to ensure alignment with curriculum, ministry goals, and developmental appropriateness.
  • Foster a culture of worship marked by unity, excellence, and joyful engagement across all campuses.
  • Partner with Campus Managers to ensure worship equipment and technology are available and functioning for weekend services.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Member of Zion Church (or willing to become one).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A confessing Christian who demonstrates a lifestyle consistent with Zion Church's Statement of Faith, values, and mission.
  • Leadership experience developing, equipping, coaching, and supporting volunteer teams in ministry, church, or service environments.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage children, families, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
  •  Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, logistics, scheduling, and event planning while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in volunteer communication, scheduling, attendance tracking, roster management, and reporting team engagement metrics.
  • Working knowledge of Planning Center, ProPresenter, Zoom, and other ministry scheduling or collaboration platforms.(preferred)
  • Understanding of children's ministry curriculum planning, developmentally appropriate worship experiences, and the integration of worship with biblical lesson themes.
  • Knowledge of child safety standards, volunteer screening processes, and best practices for creating safe ministry environments.
  • Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment, sound systems, and worship environment setup.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and support worship leaders and volunteers through rehearsals and ongoing development.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and the ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, volunteers, and ministry partners.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across ministries, departments, and campuses to foster unity and accomplish ministry goals.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-campus ministry environment.
  • Models integrity, humility, teachability, and emotional maturity while pursuing continual personal, spiritual, and professional growth.
  • Demonstrates healthy stewardship of personal relationships, family commitments, and self-care while serving faithfully in ministry.
  • Available to serve in person during Sunday services and ministry events, with the flexibility to rotate between campuses as needed.
