    PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist the cafeteria manager in the management of the food service operation at assigned campus. Assume the responsibilities of overall management, in the absence of the cafeteria manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Educations/Certifications:

    High School Diploma or GED preferred

    Food Handler's Permit Required

    One year experience in institutional food services operations

    Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certified

    Special Knowledge/Skills:

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills

    Effective planning and organizational skills

    Working knowledge of food production, preparation, and handling

    Working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and appliances

    Ability to accurately perform basic math functions

    Ability to read, write and speak English

    Ability to supervise, train, and manage other staff members.

    Basic knowledge of National School Breakfast and School Lunch Program regulations
