PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist the cafeteria manager in the management of the food service operation at assigned campus. Assume the responsibilities of overall management, in the absence of the cafeteria manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educations/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Food Handlers Permit Required
• One year experience in institutional food services operations
• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certified

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective planning and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of food production, preparation, and handling
• Working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and appliances
• Ability to accurately perform basic math functions
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to supervise, train, and manage other staff members
• Basic knowledge of National School Breakfast and School Lunch Program regulations
