Job Summary
The Assistant Basketball Coach has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Basketball Coach in the organization, administration, and promotion of all aspects of the Men's Basketball Program. The Assistant Basketball Coach is also responsible for recruiting, instruction, logistics and operations, mentoring and leadership, academic supervision of the athletics, program management for the specific areas assigned, preparation of recommendations to the Head Coach. This position must adhere to policies set forth by the Texas State University System (TSUS), Region XIX Athletic Conference, and the National Junior College Collegiate Athletics Association. This is a full-time position that reports to the LSCPA's Athletics Department.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to exert substantial physical effort. Visual and auditory acuity are required to ensure safety of players. This position also requires employees to remain in a stationary position some of the time; move to various locations on and off campus; move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; and operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week. Frequent evenings and weekends.
Travel:
Frequent travel and overnights stays is required October - March.
