Position Title: Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services

Position Summary
The full-time Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services will support all aspects of athletics and institutional compliance, eligibility, and student services. This position
supports student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community while upholding NCAA, Great Lakes Valley Conference, and institutional standards.
The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services serves as a key liaison between the athletics department and campus and will help cultivate a competitive, values-driven environment aligned with the College's mission, institutional priorities, and the Division II "Life in the Balance" philosophy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable NCAA, GLVC, and institutional rules and regulations
- Maintain accurate and detailed records for eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, playing/practice seasons, and amateurism
- Support and provide consistent rules education for coaches, staff, and student-athletes
- Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes
- Collaborate with coaches, financial aid, admissions, and enrollment on scholarship and eligibility certification
- Serve as liaison between athletics and academic departments, as well as Student Success, Student Life, and other key campus offices and committees
- Maintain compliance databases and software systems
- Assist with waivers, violations reporting, and interpretations
- Prepare required reports for federal & state government, NCAA, GLVC, and institutional needs
- Support onboarding and orientation for new student-athletes and coaches
- Serve as game administrator for assigned sports
- Promote a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership
- Represent the Athletics Department and institution in a professional manner
- Comply with all NCAA, GLVC, and institutional policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience in NCAA compliance
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of various compliance and academic systems, such as ARMS/Teamworks, Compliance Assistant, NCAA Apps, Colleague, etc.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends in assigned sports
- Have, or be willing to attain, CPR/First Aid Certification
Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in NCAA compliance
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Previous experience working in a higher education environment
