UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry (UTSD) invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure/non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The position is available immediately and offers a highly competitive salary. The academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. UTSD is the oldest of UTHealth Houston's seven schools and is in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. The School of Dentistry is housed in a state-of-the-art six-story building located at 7500 Cambridge Street in the South Campus Research Park. This facility is connected to The Denton A. Cooley, MD, and Ralph C. Cooley, DDS, University Life Center, as well as the UT Behavioral and Biomedical Sciences Building, which is home to UTSD's biomedical science researchers. Position Key Accountabilities: Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, providing lectures and clinical instruction in pediatric dentistry to graduate and pre-doctoral students, conducting research, and providing service to the university such as serving on standing and ad-hoc dental school committees. There is also an opportunity for Intramural faculty practice for eligible candidates. Qualifications: · DDS or DDS/PhD with a specialty certificate and/or MS in pediatric dentistry. · Licensure in the state of Texas or practice under Faculty License through the School of Dentistry Advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry from an accredited US or Canadian specialty residency program, along with board certification, is highly preferred.
