Required Qualifications - Experience Education Knowledge & Skills • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education. ABD candidates are also eligible but must be completed with their degree within 18 months of hire • Evidence of successful teaching in a higher education setting • Experience teaching in a P-12 setting for at least 3 years • Evidence of potential for scholarly activity • Evidence of commitment to diversity and inclusivity • Experience with analyzing and working with large data sets

Preferred Qualifications - Experience Education Knowledge & Skills • Experience working with state and national accreditation • Evidence of experience with data management software • Specialized knowledge in the field of education foundations • Experience working with a diverse range of adult and young adult learners • Familiarity with supporting students in using the Common Core aligned State Standards

Now Montana State University Billings College of Education is recognized as the regional leader in the preparation of Literacy Specialists and Special Education teachers. The Educator Preparation Program at Montana State University Billings is accredited by the Montana State Board of Public Education and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation CAEP for the preparation of elementary and secondary teachers as well as school counselors at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College of Education also offers degrees in Reading Special Education Curriculum and Instruction Initial Licensure and Interdisciplinary Studies at the masters degree level.
