Salary Details A minimum of $290,402 for academic year appointments

Posting Summary The Department of Obstetrics Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School has full-time positions available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level depending on experience for Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians as a generalist specialist in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Family Planning Specialists are welcomed to apply to the position. Hospitalist, laborist, and nocturnist options can be considered for these roles depending on the candidate.

Responsibilities The generalist will treat diseases and disorders of the female reproductive system as well as caring for women during the prenatal, in labor, and postnatal periods. The generalist will perform all aspects of generalist OBGYN practice including:

• Cesarean delivery • Hysterectomy • All standard outpatient OBGYN procedures

Practice Setting The practice is based at University Hospital using the renovated labor floor, the Ambulatory Care Center, and other sites associated with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

Integration with Rutgers The practice is fully integrated in the teaching mission of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with faculty appointments in the medical school. The scope and breadth of the facultys clinical activities promote professional interests while covering the clinical needs of the service and the educational mission.

Professional Interests Professional interests in global health, clinical research, patient safety, quality, and addiction medicine are encouraged. Leadership opportunities are available commensurate with experience and interest.
