Position Summary:
The Division of General Internal Medicine is currently providing clinical services to the community of NW Ohio. An important aspect of the mission of the University of Toledo College of Mission and Life Sciences is educating students, residents and fellows as well as developing research programs related to geriatrics and internal medicine.
As a full time, faculty member, he/she is required to devote his/her full professional efforts to the programs of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences, fulfilling at the highest level of professional competence.
Job Description:
This is an academic position, which requires a combination of teaching, patient care, research/scholarship, as well as administrative activities, that are necessary for the function of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. The initial assignments and percent of total effort in the areas of teaching, research/scholarship and administration/service will be as follows:
Research/Scholarship: He/she is required to participate in research and other scholarly activities related to the area of expertise and interest with expectation of intramural and extramural grant funding.
Administration/Service: He/she will be expected to participate, to the extent that you may be reasonably called upon, in administrative and/or services functions of the Department of General Internal Medicine, the College of Medicine and Life Sciences or teaching hospital committees.
