Responsibilities and Qualifications
The primary responsibility involves didactic and clinical teaching in restorative dentistry for predoctoral students high quality scholarly activity service-related activities and faculty practice. The following required qualifications must be met by the time of appointment:
•Dental degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association or foreign equivalent. DDSDMD degree or foreign equivalent. •Eligibility to obtain a West Virginia dental license or West Virginia teaching permit Please visit the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners for information regarding licensure. •Current BLS certification recognized by the American Heart Association. •Applicants should have expertise in all aspects of general restorative dentistry. •The successful candidate will have a history of documented competence in clinical practice teaching administration and demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. •We are looking for applicants who are committed to educating and mentoring dental students to be technically proficient in all aspects of primary oral health care and restorative dentistry successful candidates are highly motivated innovative and work well in teams. •Demonstrated commitment to advancing the dental profession. •Demonstrated effective written verbal and interpersonal communication skills. •Evidence of positive leadership skills •Strong commitment to student development patient care academic excellence service and collegiality.
