The Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at the Indiana University School of Medicine is recruiting a Basic Scientist to serve as faculty. The Scientist will be appointed as Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (with tenure or on the tenure track depending upon qualifications). The successful candidate must have either a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and have expertise in computational approaches to gene x environment interactions and population genetics. Investigators with experience in approaches to study complex traits of addiction are particularly encouraged to apply. The Department is particularly interested in candidates with the ability to perform predictive modeling and develop advanced polygenic scores. The candidate must be able to mentor medical students, graduate students, residents and/or fellows in basic research. It is highly desirable for the holder of this position to have secured long term NIH funding, and to have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with others.
