Summary:
The Department of Management, Marketing, and Logistics at Alabama A&M University (AAMU), an AACSB-accredited institution, invites applications for Assistant/Associate/Full Professor positions (Two Positions) in Entrepreneurship. The full-time position is set to begin in January 2026. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate significant accomplishments in both teaching and research in entrepreneurship. Primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality teaching and publishing research on entrepreneurship in quality journals. Rank and Tenure status are negotiable based on qualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
The full-time faculty position is based on campus and is in-person.
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high-quality instruction of entrepreneurship and/or strategy at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Conduct research with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. Applicants for this position are expected to have potential or have an established, proven record of publishing their research in quality outlets and a plan to continue publishing in such outlets.
- Participate in service activities, supporting departmental, college, and university initiatives in line with the college's mission.
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from an AACSB-accredited business school in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Management, Marketing, or a closely related field, such as Innovation & Technology Management, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Statistics, etc., is required. ABD will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from an AACSB-accredited business school in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Management, Marketing, or a closely related field, such as Innovation & Technology Management, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Statistics, etc., is required.
- Applications from all functional areas are encouraged with evidence of research related to entrepreneurship issues.
- Must have the ability to teach Entrepreneurship courses.
- Applicants at the Assistant Professor level should have the potential to publish in quality journals consistent with AACSB requirements established by AAMU and demonstrate teaching effectiveness.
- Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor level must have a sustained record of quality publications, demonstrated quality scholarship and intellectual contribution, as evidenced by journal publications, and a well-defined research agenda for sustained publications in quality journals is also required.
- Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work with others are essential.
