Position Summary ----------------

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine IUSM in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group IUHMG is expanding its team given continued growth within the IU Health system. The department is seeking to recruit an academic anatomic pathologist with subspecialty expertise in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology to join its faculty. Additional combinations of Bone and Soft Tissue and other subspecialty areas based on the clinical need are welcome.

The Pathology team serves over 10 hospitals within the IU Health Hospital network and Eskenazi Health. Anatomic pathology is currently comprised of 55 pathologists. The academic track and rank of the appointment will be determined by qualifications and level of experience.

Responsibilities ----------------

  • Deliver professional diagnostic services within anatomic pathology
  • Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty members
  • Actively participate in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows to include bone/soft tissue pathology fellowship program

Basic Qualifications -------------------

  • Doctorate or Terminal degree is required
  • The applicant must be certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology
  • Additionally, applicants must be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana
