Assistant Appraisal Manager - Rockford, IL

We are currently recruiting a high-quality individual to join our team in the Rockford, IL area for the position of Assistant Appraisal Manager. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years vehicle estimating experience, agricultural and specialty equipment preferred. Management experience is a plus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Driving to loss locations is required; must hold valid driver's license and have clean driving record
- Ability to occasionally work during non-standard business hours
- Travel required when necessary; including overnight stays
- Strong organizational and clear communication skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and schedule
- 5 years vehicle estimating experience; agricultural and specialty equipment preferred
- Management of direct reports and their workloads
- Potential for growth into division manager if candidate excels in position
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately assess physical damage to vehicles and promptly produce written report
- Use of software programs such as CCC, JD Power, FileTrac and MS office suite required
- Review estimates written by insurance material damage appraisers and provide guidance for revisions
- Work with management team on marketing ventures to benefit the company
- Provide effective customer service
- Travel to provide backfill for vacation coverages as necessary
SALARY RANGE
- $70,000 to $80,000 base with potential to earn up to $140,000 with commission depending on experience and skill level. This is a commission-based role, not a set salary.
