Pay: $21-$24 per hour (based on experience)

BG Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Assistant Apartment Property Manager with a background in affordable housing to join a dynamic and professional property management team in Lorain, Ohio. This is a full-time, weekday position offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and long-term stability.

Position Overview

As the Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in supporting daily property operations, ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations, and delivering exceptional service to residents and prospective tenants. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the unique requirements of affordable housing communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the property
  • Support leasing, including applications, move-ins, and renewals
  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing guidelines and programs (HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and documentation
  • Handle resident inquiries and provide outstanding customer service
  • Assist with rent collections and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other staff to ensure property standards are met
  • Uphold all company policies, procedures, and fair housing regulations

Qualifications

  • Required: Prior experience in affordable housing/property management
  • Knowledge of compliance programs (HUD, LIHTC, Section 8 preferred)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Range: $21-$24 per hour, depending on experience
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Full-time, steady hours-no weekends required
