Job Summary
The Assistant Administrator serves as a senior executive leader responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of UMC El Paso Healthcare, Inc. (501A). Provides executive leadership for the employed physician enterprise by directing Revenue Cycle, Quality, Performance Improvement, and assigned operational functions while advancing strategic initiatives that enhance financial performance, operational efficiency, physician engagement, patient access, and quality outcomes. Collaborates closely with executive leadership, physicians, and operational leaders to drive organizational growth, improve performance, oversee budgetary and operational accountability, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the successful implementation of new physician practices, strategic initiatives, and organizational priorities.
MinimumJobRequirements
Work Experience:
Seven years of healthcare leadership experience, including five years in senior leadership overseeing multiple departments or service lines. Experience leading physician operations in an integrated healthcare system.
Experience overseeing Revenue Cycle, Quality, and Performance Improvement functions. Strong background in business case development, financial analysis, and strategic planning. Experience with physician practice acquisitions, integrations, and growth initiatives. Experience managing large operating and capital budgets.
Proven ability to collaborate with physicians, executives, governing boards, and external partners.
License/Registration/Certification:
FACHE, ACMPE, Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), or an equivalent nationally recognized healthcare leadership certification preferred.
EducationandTraining:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Finance, or a related field is required. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing (MSN), Public Health (MPH), or a related field required.
