This is a full-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position expected to end on or before 8/31/2030. Continuation of this position is contingent upon continued funding.

Nature & Purpose of Position
Serves as Assistant Academic Advisor to students and helps design programs relevant to students in their academic pursuits.
Primary Responsibilities
Advises enrolled and prospective students regarding their academic programs and curriculum. Maintains student files updated throughout their academic careers and makes changes to records as necessary. Provides retention advice to students on probation. Assists with resolving academic issues. May assist with coordinating orientation sessions for groups of incoming new students. May assist with recruiting high school or community college students and give presentations to small or large groups. Analyzes and processes degree plans and degree exceptions. Assists all student populations, regardless of field of study. May help with training new advisors. May travel to the campuses of feeder schools or satellite campuses to advise students. Performs other related duties as assigned
