The 504AssistantCoordinatorsupportsthe 504 Coordinatorandhelpsmanage all aspects of 504 programming to ensure compliance with state and federal regulationspertaining topersons with disabilities.

This is a full-time position.Abilityto work independently, typically 40+ hours per week isrequired. Ability tomaintaina professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

Essential Functions:Reasonableaccommodationmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Facilitate and ensure the implementation of the school district approved Section 504 processes and data collection policies.

  • Develop andmaintainall Section 504 records including 504 plans and list of eligible students.

  • Keep informed of current state and federal requirementsregardingSection 504.

  • Serve as a daily resource to school administrators, school leadership teams, and other stakeholdersregardingSection 504 issues.

  • Provide ongoing training and support to school/district staffregardingSection 504 and the implementation ofSection504 and data collection procedures.

  • Support teachers in documenting student progress.

  • Serve asliaisonbetween the school and DistrictregardingSection 504 issues.

  • Work with the special education team tofacilitate504 student eligibility for special education.

  • Work withstudentmanagement program to prepare documentation for 504 meetings.

  • Assistwithdyslexia interventionplans and dyslexia interventions.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALFICIATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree AND

  • Three (3) years of related professional experience OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to clear required background check

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of applicable sections of the state and federal education laws and other pertinent regulations

  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills both in-person and electronically

  • Customer service oriented

  • Able to read data anddeterminewhat steps are needed toassiststudents academically and behaviorally, as a whole and on an individual basis

  • Demonstrates the use of good judgment in decision-making

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel,Wordand Outlook as well as Internet research methods and report writing techniques;utilizescomputer software associated with curriculum

  • Ability to travel 20% time for work including to support in-person testing, meetings, and professional development

  • Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick and mortar environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years ofdirectly relatedexperience in an online school setting
