Posted Min Pay Rate: USD $1,014.25/Wk. Position Grade: B/05 Exemption Status: Non Exempt Overview:
  1. Performs and manages the issuance of supplies and equipment to protective force and administrative staff. This includes managing inventory levels, processing requisitions, conducting spot checks, and resolving any discrepancies.
  2. Maintains standard issue documents, tracks shoe reimbursements, and processes laundry invoices.
  3. Performs alterations and repairs on uniforms, creates nametags, and works on various fabric items as needed.
  4. Conducts preventative maintenance on sewing machines, orders necessary supplies, and manages access to the sewing area.
  5. Processes excess property by removing name tags and bagging according to requirements, while also verifying timely pickups.
  6. Prepares and submits Declaration of Available Assets for retirement of property.
  7. Assists with property and asset inventory activities, including tracking, documentation, verification, and record updates. Supports property and asset inventory records under the direction of management. Participates in inventory reviews, audits, or reconciliation efforts as required.
  8. Assists with shipping and receiving duties, including preparation and processing of items, physical assistance with loading, unloading, and stocking equipment and supplies.
  9. Assists with screening assets for potential reutilization, explaining excess property procedures to employees, and ensuring complete sanitization and certification of Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) prior to disposition.
  10. Assists with preparing necessary forms for property transfers to other federal agencies and maintaining strict control of reclassified contraband.
  11. Assists with the preparation of documentation for internal and external auditors and provides physical assistance with loading, unloading, and stocking equipment and supplies. May be assigned additional property, supply, shipping, and receiving duties as needed to meet operational deadlines and support overall department objectives.
  12. Must comply with the provisions for environment, safety and health as stated in Standard Procedure 1-3100, General Safety Procedure, and adhere to the Integrated Safety Management System Core Functions and Guiding Principles.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities & Other Requirements:
  1. Reading, writing, and basic computer skills.
  2. Three years of experience performing the following functions in Uniform Supply, Shipping/ Receiving, and Property including issuing uniform /supplies and equipment, acquisition, maintaining records, conducting spot checks, reconciling inventory, disposition of government property, receiving and shipping packages, utilization, classification, identification, labeling, storage, accountability, ensuring property marking of personal property. 
  3. Experience in sewing/alterations is preferred.
  4. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L Security Clearance.

Interview Process and Length

The interview process will consist of a Panel Interview and will last approximately 45 minutes.
