Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking a Manager, Strategy and Forecasting within Treasury's Asset-Level Financing team to develop a strategy to execute and manage a large-scale capital program. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for an analytically rigorous professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can synthesize complexity into a clear, actionable strategy.

This individual will develop a deep understanding of NextEra's various funding strategies across tax equity, project financing, and non-controlling interests as well as end markets (renewables and storage, gas plants, transmission, pipelines, residential solar).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Financing Plan Coordination: Maintain and communicate a dynamic financing plan across various asset classes (renewables, storage, gas, transmission, pipelines, residential solar) to ensure alignment between Asset-Level Financing and Forecasting teams external to Treasury
  • Forecast Tracking: Monitor and document changes to project-level financing strategies, quantify the financial impact of deviations from plan, and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
  • Market Approach & Execution Sequencing: Develop and maintain a market approach strategy that allows efficient execution and terms for a large-scale capital program
  • Pre-COD Analysis: Partner with Engineering and Construction (E&C) and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) to gather and analyze evolving construction timelines and equipment procurement / utilization palns
  • Ad Hoc Strategic Analysis: Support strategic analysis as needed in response to industry developments, policy changes, or shifts in market conditions that impact the financing program
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to internal processes to enhance the teams ability to manage a complex, high-volume financing pipeline
