This position involves establishing real estate values for residential, non-residential, and commercial properties under the supervision of the County Assessor.
It requires outdoor work in various climates and terrains, assisting colleagues in property assessment, determining property appreciation or depreciation, sketching buildings, measuring, and updating appraisal records.
The role is performed with minimal supervision and may include irregular hours, meetings, and additional duties.
Starting Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.18 per hour DOE
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years of assessment experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
Certifications: Must pass IAAO Courses 101, 102, 201, and 300 (Course 101 within 18 months).
Required to become a NM Certified Appraiser within five years and maintain continuing education compliance.
