Incumbents in this class may supervise staff whose primary duties involve a high degree of daily public contact including answering a variety of property tax assessment questions. They assist taxpayers with Assessor forms and claims including homeownersâ exemptions. Other tasks include processing requests for informal review of assessed value, and transferring supplemental and escape assessments to the unsecured tax roll, when legally appropriate. Assessment Supervisor IIâs apply legal statutes and rules requiring expertise and specialized knowledge.
