About the Team
Droyd builds autonomous robotic systems that automate repetitive manual work in real environments. We design and manufacture our hardware in-house, which means iteration, fabrication, and execution all happen under one roof.
Turning designs into working robots requires a strong build team that can assemble hardware quickly, carefully, and repeatedly. Our hardware team works closely with design, machining, and testing to move from parts to finished systems — assembly is a core part of how we iterate fast.
About the Role
As an Assembly Technician at Droyd, you will help build robotic hardware from parts, subassemblies, and work instructions. You will work on real systems every day and play a direct role in getting prototypes and production-ready hardware built.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes working with tools, learning quickly, and being close to the physical product.
This role is based on-site in San Francisco, CA.
In This Role, You'll
Assembly & Build Execution
Assemble mechanical and electromechanical subsystems for robots
Follow build procedures, drawings, and instructions to produce high-quality assemblies
Support rework, repairs, and rapid iteration as designs change
Meet build quality and pace expectations
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with engineers, machinists, and the shop team to keep builds moving
Flag build issues, missing parts, and process problems early
Provide feedback that improves build documentation and workflows
Workspace & Organization

About Droyd
Droyd builds autonomous robotic systems that operate in real production environments. We design the hardware, develop the control stack, and generate the data that enables generalist robotics.
If we do this right, robots stop being demos and start being infrastructure.
Join us and help build the systems that make it real.
