Start your new career as an Assembler with MAU at Salus Scientific in Duncan, SC. As an Assembler, you will build electromechanical medical devices that help protect healthcare professionals from radiation exposure while ensuring every product meets high-quality and safety standards. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What Were Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of electromechanical or precision assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using hand tools and small power tools
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Soldering experience - preferred
  • Technical or vocational training in electromechanical assembly - preferred
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar quality system - preferred

What Youll Do as an Assembler:

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic subassemblies using work instructions, engineering drawings, and bills of materials
  • Build ERPD systems and control units used to protect healthcare providers from radiation exposure
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure assemblies meet quality standards and specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as multimeters, torque wrenches, and pressure gauges
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation
  • Complete production documentation and traceability records according to quality procedures
  • Report material shortages, non-conformances, and production issues to the Production Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and safety practices
  • Collaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot assembly issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with new product introductions and process improvement projects as needed
