Lead the Line. Elevate the Team.

At BAC, we believe in doing the right thing, the right way. As an Assembly Operations Supervisor, you’ll guide a crew of talented operators to hit daily build targets while advancing long-term improvement projects. You’ll model our values—Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation—every step of the way.

A day in this role

You start by walking the line—verifying safety readiness, confirming materials with the Material Coordinator, and aligning work assignments to skill sets. You coach operators on standard work, hold the team accountable to those standards, and flex manpower to keep takt on track. When an issue pops up, you partner with the Lean Tech and Material Coordinator for root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Throughout the shift, you update key metrics, mentor junior mechanics, and reinforce 5S, quality checks, and safe crane operations. You close the day by coordinating with the Team Lead on quarterly objectives, Skills Matrix training, and any accident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are shared clearly with the team.

What you’ll drive

  • Ownership of personal and team safety; strict adherence to safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Training on and reinforcement of standard work; accountability for process compliance.
  • Workforce planning and flexing to achieve Assembly Line output goals.
  • Continuous improvement of line methods, equipment utilization, and flow.
  • Smart delegation aligned to skill sets and accountability.
  • Close coordination with the Material Coordinator to maintain schedule fidelity.
  • Systemic problem-solving with Lean Tech partners (RCA and corrective actions).
  • Safe operation of jib/overhead cranes for lifting and positioning components.
  • Mentorship of junior mechanics toward technical and professional mastery.
  • Clear, consistent communication across the department; guidance toward objectives.
  • Support for Team Lead on quarterly objectives and annual reviews.
  • Execution of Skills Matrix training plans for all employees.
  • Thorough accident investigation reporting for Assembly incidents on the shift.
  • Championing LEAN, 5S, quality, and process standards to meet/exceed shift goals.
  • Counseling, corrective action, and coaching for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Coverage for alternate shifts as needed and back-up to the Team Lead.
  • Progress on sustainability—reducing waste, energy use, and water consumption.
  • Innovation mindset—turning new ideas into operational opportunities.

What you bring

  • Proven team leadership: delegation, follow-up, and results orientation.
  • Independent decision-making and sound judgment.
  • Track record of building teamwork and leading small groups to goals.
  • Ability to mentor and upskill junior mechanics.
  • Scheduling savvy; able to read and react to production plans.
  • Strong product knowledge across BAC models and parts.
  • Understanding of the plant IPI process.
  • Certified and trained to operate overhead and JIB cranes.
  • Clear written and verbal English; professional documentation and emails.
  • Comfort presenting to groups and sharing technical information.
  • Bias for action and continuous improvement; deep grasp of LEAN principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO procedures, policies, and instructions for quality.
  • Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and SAP.
  • Excel skills to update data and produce metrics from preformatted sheets.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and submit engineering change requests.

Preferred proficiency: Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
