Description: The Assembly Line Parts Specialist supports daily production by picking, staging, and delivering parts to the assembly line to ensure a steady, accurate flow of materials. This role works closely with Assembly, Warehouse, and Production teams to maintain inventory accuracy, support cycle counts, and help keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities: • Pick and stage parts using system-generated pick lists (inside/outside warehouse locations). • Deliver parts to the assembly line in a timely, organized manner to support production flow. • Verify part numbers, quantities, and specs; interpret engineering prints/documentation as needed. • Complete inventory transactions (issue/transfer), audits, and cycle counts in the inventory system. • Operate material-handling equipment as trained/certified (forklifts, cranes, etc.). • Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and standard procedures. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly use/care for tools and equipment. • Support Assembly, Material Handling, shipping prep/tear-down, and general facility/grounds tasks as needed (including snow removal/mowing).
Position Requirements: Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work well on a team and follow direction; able to work with minimal supervision when needed. Willingness to become trained/certified to operate material-handling equipment. 2-5 years of warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with agricultural equipment parts and/or interpreting engineering prints preferred. Experience operating forklifts, skid loaders, or pay loaders preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment: Individuals may need to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods. The position may require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required. The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses with side shields, is required.
