Assembler 3, Instrument Compensation: pay $23.00/hr; benefits after 90 days; 401(k) match after 1 year (eligibility dates)
Assembler 3, Instrument Highlights: contract w/ potential perm based on attendance/performance/business needs; required availability: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Fri); on-site (not near public transit) – reliable transportation required; in-person interviews
Assembler 3, Instrument Responsibilities
Perform production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies/subassemblies (including integration of sub-assemblies into instruments)
Wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, fitting, and working from diagrams/drawings
Conduct quality inspections and maintain device history/production documentation (serial numbers, tools, etc.)
Troubleshoot, repair, rework, and test assemblies (including prototype/experimental builds as needed)
Read and interpret drawings/work instructions; hold tolerances to blueprint specifications
Support continuous improvement by identifying defects and recommending design/process improvements
Train/mentor associates on mechanical and basic testing activities
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment; follow GMP, safety, and housekeeping policies
Assembler 3, Instrument Requirements: High School Diploma/GED; attendance mandatory first 90 days
HS/GED with 3+ years manufacturing experience OR AA technical degree with 1+ year experience
Experience in a regulated environment required
Strong mechanical aptitude (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.) and ability to measure/interpret dimensions
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a repetitive environment
English proficiency (read/write); basic arithmetic; basic PC/Windows skills
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Assembler 3, Instrument Preferred Qualifications
Leadership/mentoring experience; ability to coach and develop others
Familiarity with Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, Blitzes, shift-start meetings, etc.)
Strong time management across multiple production orders and frequent assignment changes
