Position Summary And Scope: This position will be responsible for assisting in the shipping department maintaining functions required to insure accurate inventories, receipts, and shipments to internal and external customers.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

• Maintain a constant flow of raw products onto assigned production lines.
• Work closely with Production Leads to ensure smooth movement of acceptable raw product.
• Assist in unloading, transport, and put away of inbound raw product.
• Inspect powered jacks/trucks for operating conditions and safety.
• Unload material and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Accurate, timely, and efficient workflow for all assignments.
• Communicate with supervisor, leads, production, and as needed.
• Adherence to all Company Policies
• Always follow and comply with company's safety program.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
• Maintain a safe work area
• Must be able to work outside when needed in any weather conditions.
• Capable of working in a cold (34-38 degrees F) and wet environment
• Ability to lift 75 pounds consistently
• Forklift certified

• Skills And Abilities Required:

  • Ability to change priorities rapidly and work independently and/or with teams
  • Product knowledge and understanding material requirements planning
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Lifting/moving product and supplies up to 50 pounds
  • General math skills
  • Understanding of basic 5S
  • Works well without direct supervision, task-oriented
  • Process-oriented
  • Hourly rate starting at $20.00
