Asphalt Roller Operator (Experienced)

Position Summary:

C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join our asphalt paving crew. This role is critical to delivering high-quality finished surfaces by ensuring proper compaction and density. The ideal candidate understands rolling patterns, communicates effectively with the paving team, and takes pride in producing a smooth, durable mat.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate steel drum and/or pneumatic rollers to achieve proper compaction and finish
  • Follow an established roller pattern
  • Work closely with the paving foreman and QC technicians
  • Monitor mat temperature and density to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating rollers on asphalt paving projects
  • Strong understanding of compaction techniques and rolling patterns
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and a team player
  • Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and varying schedules
