ROLE OVERVIEW

Our season kicks off in April and runs through November with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, youll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long.

As a Distributor Operator, you are responsible for safely operating and driving a truck equipped with a tank to spray oil or bituminous emulsions on road surfaces. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 4:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with Saturday as needed. Hours are subject to change based on weather and customer demand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary of components that make up the job:

• Perform daily equipment walk-around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained. • Safely and properly perform maintenance, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning on oil truck. • Safely and properly operates truck equipped with oil or bituminous emulsions. • Connects hose from storage tank to truck tank and moves lever to fill pressure tank with bituminous liquid. • Regulates burner to heat liquid and starts auxiliary pump. • Drives truck at constant speed. • Completes load tickets. • Assists construction crews while waiting to unload. • Maintains proper information in truck cab pouch. • Inventory and order tac. • Cleans tac nozzles. • Barricade commercial parking lots. • Communicate effectively, verbal, listening, and written. • Self-motivated team-player with good interpersonal skills, ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous and respectful of others. • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations, problems, material quality, equipment operation, repair, etc. • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors. • Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR safety and environmental regulation compliance. • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum educational experience or other relevant job requirements:

• General education, grammar, and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent. • CDL Class B license in accordance with all state and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations. • Must have and maintain medical card and acceptable driving record and required endorsements.

PREferred REQUIREMENTS

Preferred requirements, i.e., certifications, software use, etc.:

• CDL Class A drivers license. • Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays. • Preference given for experience driving a belly dump flow boy, lowboy tanker, or straight truck.
