Job DescriptionThe ASP Intervention Specialist will implement IEP/ISP goals and objectives, curriculum, and behavior management programs for students with Specific Learning Disabilities. The teacher will work as part of a team on behalf of the student with regular classroom teachers, administrators, and parents.Job RequirementsQualificationsValid Ohio State Board of Education K-12 Intervention Specialist license in Mild/Moderate Educational NeedsPrior classroom experience preferredEssential FunctionsDevelop and teach an appropriate curriculum for students with Specific Learning DisabilitiesProvide differentiated instruction that accounts for individual student differences in achievement levels, ability, behavior, and learning modalitiesDevelop and provide intervention instruction and assistance based on ISP and IEP goals and objectives and student assessment dataConduct student assessments to evaluate the impact of interventions; Monitor and evaluate student progress according to local, state, and federal proceduresCollaborate with classroom teacher to ensure interventions are consistently implemented for studentsParticipate in Intervention Assistance Team and Response to Intervention meetingsParticipate in implementing Due Process by:Performing student observationPerforming student assessment with appropriate diagnostic instrumentsParticipating in ISP/IEP development and writing goals and objectives for students entering programParticipating in completing Evaluation Team ReportAttending all staffing and placement meetings for students eligible for specialized instruction (MFE and ISP/IEP)Conducting placements, and annual case reviewsDevelop and maintain appropriate individual behavior management plansPrepare and send progress reports to parents on a quarterly basisWork with staff members to plan for and meet the needs of students on an individual basisActs as resource person for classroom teachers regarding strategies, adaptations, and resource materialsMaintain accurate and complete student records; prepare and submit all required reports within a set timeframe to the ASP district and the ESC of Lake Erie WestSalaryBased on salary schedule and/or commensurate with experience and education.#J-18808-Ljbffr
