Seeking a full-time, nationally certified ASL Interpreter & Team Lead to provide sign language/transliteration services for a faculty member in Cognitive Science. Responsibilities include daily interpreting for meetings, classes, and events, with flexible scheduling, and supporting the interpretation needs of the faculty.
Additionally, the role involves recruiting, supervising, and mentoring interpreters, managing contractor relationships, vetting agencies, and coordinating accommodations. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, ASL fluency, four+ years of interpreting experience, and current RID certification. Preferred candidates have 8+ years of experience, advanced degrees, and experience in mentoring. Skills include strong organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The position offers a salary range of $73,300 - $128,300, based on experience, and is based on the Homewood Campus.
