The University of Iowa Heath Care Perioperative department is looking for Staff Nurse to join the Operating Room, specifically for our Gynecology Team. These nurses will assist the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. The Operating area at Univeristy of Iowa Health Care features 42 operating rooms dedicated to adult surgical specialties and operates 24/7. Intra-operative services are organized into 7 teams staffed by Registered Nurses and Surgical Technologists.

Required Qualifications
An associate degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP, MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
General computer skills are required.
Current license to practice nursing in State of Iowa is required by date of hire.
Current BLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment is required.
