The Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM) is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our mission for the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF) located at the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT) in Kings Bay, Georgia! This position will manage Avionics Package Engineers and Electrical Support Equipment Engineers in a manufacturing and test environment.

In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:

  • All Engineering matters relating to daily manufacturing and testing operations at MISF.
  • Setting Engineering priorities that align with the production demand, direct and assign personnel as appropriate to meet those priorities and measure performance against benchmarks.
  • Conducting multifunctional meetings, reviews and evaluations to resolve processing and Engineering issues with operations support and Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE).
  • Providing leadership and administrative direction to a multidiscipline team of engineers that support manufacturing, assembly and testing on Avionics Flight Packages and Cables.
  • Providing oversight and leadership responsibilities to ensure proper training for new Engineers.
  • Providing oversight, evaluation, counseling, recognition, training, awards and overall leader management responsibilities of assigned personnel.
  • Developing a high-performance work team by demonstrating the highest ethical standards and setting challenging team goals.
  • Communicate to customers, upper management and key stake holders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Possesses ability to drive change management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan strategic changes and improvements and to orchestrate their successful execution.
  • Strong delegation skills with effective follow up techniques and the ability to achieve closure.
  • Strong customer relations skills and direct customer interface experience.
  • Must have demonstrated a consistent record of high performance, with the ability to accept responsibility, exercise authority and be held accountable for assigned tasks.
  • Must have a desire to lead cross-functional teams comprised of multi-discipline engineers.
  • Must have demonstrated effective problem and conflict resolution skills including experience with root cause, corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience and in depth knowledge of the unique MISF facility processing, assembly and testing operations at SWFLANT.
  • Knowledge of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program
  • LM21 Green Belt trained or certified.
  • Currently possess a Secret clearance.
  • Experience as a Strategic Weapons Facility Leader or Equivalent.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
