The Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt is comprised of three Conservatories: Music, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Theatre. Our faculty and staff maintain successful professional careers in their chosen fields alongside their commitment to training and educating our students in preparation to enter performing arts industries. This position entails the following category of instruction:
Weekly applied clarinet lessons taught onsite at the Chicago College of Performing Arts CCPA, Chicago campus, working with students enrolled in the following degree programs:
• Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance • Bachelor of Music Education • Bachelor of Musical Arts • Bachelor of Arts • Master of Music in Clarinet Performance • Master of Music in Orchestral Studies with a Clarinet concentration • Performance Diploma in Clarinet Performance • Professional Diploma in Orchestra Studies with a Clarinet concentration
Job Duties
High level of active engagement toward student recruitment. Successful retention of students by means of effective and healthy pedagogy. Participation in adjudication of recitals, woodwind juries, and woodwind auditions. Clear and timely communications. Timely submission of all grades and attendance. Consistent usage of Roosevelt University email address to be assigned upon onboarding. Submission of a studio syllabus each semester, using a university-mandated template, documenting all studio policies, expectations, procedures, and grading criteria.
This is a part-time position with a cap of 20 total teaching hours per week. The salary for this position is approximately $110,000.

Working Conditions Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling is required, typically less than 10-15 pounds.
