Openwork is assisting in filling an ARPA Financial Analyst role with Harris County. This position supports high-impact public health initiatives by managing the financial lifecycle of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funded projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor expenditures and perform budget-to-actual variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports, executive summaries, and budget narratives.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and reporting deadlines.
- Support budget amendments and ad hoc financial reporting.
- Oversee purchasing activities, including vendor payments and requisitions.
- Collaborate with leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements and provide financial insights.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or grant management.
- Experience in government, nonprofit, or commercial financial operations required.
- Experience with systems such as PeopleSoft or Oracle preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Work Environment:
- Professional office setting with standard business hours.
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Primarily sedentary role with occasional light lifting (up to 10 lbs).
