As an Armed Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Flex in Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating tense interactions and documenting security-related events.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for restricted areas, visitor traffic, and after-hours movement in accordance with location protocols.
Work closely with healthcare personnel, visitors, and first responders during medical, behavioral, and/or emergency situations while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess a CPO certification.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess 2 or more years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
