Position Overview:
Jay Ques on the Deuces is seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety of our guests, staff, and property. This role requires a calm, alert individual who can handle high-traffic environments while maintaining a strong but respectful presence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a visible security presence to deter disturbances or illegal activity
- Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas
- Check IDs and assist with crowd control as needed
- Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies
- De-escalate conflicts in a professional manner
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Armed Security License (Class “G”) required
- Valid Florida Security License (Class “D”) required
- Previous armed security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must be reliable and punctual
Requirements:
- Must be 21+ years old
- Must pass background screening
- Must maintain proper firearm safety at all times
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience in nightlife, bar, or restaurant security
- CPR/First Aid certification
