Job Description:As an Armed Driver Guard, you work with your team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coins, and valuables.

Responsibilities:

Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locationsService ATMs and Smart SafesService customer stops, including delivering customer change orders and picking up deposits.Load/unload vehicle cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coinsCount items, record, and sign for cargo itemsOther duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

At least 21 years of ageAt least a 3-year driving recordAbility to obtain Medical Examiner's Certificate via US Department of Transportation-approved medical examinersA valid firearms permit or the ability to pass applicable firearms requirements per the state to which you are applying is required

Many routes out of this branch are TPS (one-person routes). This role may require you to become Total Protection System (TPS) certified. As a requirement of the role, you must be open to becoming TPS certified at the company's expense if requested.

Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing, and permitting.

Working Conditions

Full-time schedule potentially consisting of an average 40 to 50 hours/week, with a minimum of 5 days during a 6-day period. Occasional weekend workApproximately 90-95 percent of work is performed in air-conditioned vehicles within individual compartments (front and rear)

Essential Duties/Job Qualifications As part of the qualification process for the Armed Driver Guard position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires the successful completion of testing in the following areas: Lift: - 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X) Lift-Carry: - 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X) - 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X) - 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X) Push-Pull: - Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X) Repetitive Coupling: - Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X) Climb: - Ascend / Descend a step with heights of 16. 21 & 24 inches from the floor (10X) Benefits:Loomis offers one of the most comprehensive employee benefit packages in the industry, which includes:

Armored Service Technicians work as a team on a designated route. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of cash and coin to Loomis customers, as well as the loading and balancing of ATM machines along your route. You will be thoroughly Trained in a classroom setting and receive on-the-job training with an experienced Armored Service Technician. We believe that our people make Loomis a great company. We are looking for applicants who are at least 21 years of age, have a current driver’s license and a good driving record, show steady employment history and can pass a comprehensive background check that includes criminal history check. This position requires that you pass a Department of Transportation screening and be issued a DOT Medical Certification.                                            

The Armored Service Technician job duties require the following physical abilities:

  • Carry a minimum of 50 pounds by hand up to several hundred yards by cart
  • Loading/unloading cargo consisting of multiple bags and boxes of coin
  • Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
  • Verbally communicate with customers
  • Record information on forms and reports
