A Brief Overview
The Area Sales Manager oversees sales operations across multiple locations, developing and leading strategies to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets. This role provides strategic direction to sales managers and teams, fosters high-value customer relationships, and partners with leadership to drive business expansion. Typically manages operations with annual revenue of $50 million+.

What you will do

  • Oversees multi-location or area operations ($50M+ annual revenue) and leads multiple teams or sales managers with broad strategic influence.

  • Develops and drives divisional or enterprise-level sales strategies, builds strategic relationships with key regional and national customers, and drives long-term growth, scalability, and organizational alignment.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor multiple sales teams or area managers to ensure high performance and professional growth.

  • Analyze market conditions, emerging trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

  • Oversee forecasting, pricing, profit margins, and inventory management to optimize financial performance.

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners to expand market share.

  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and leadership to develop programs and campaigns that support divisional goals.

  • Promote new and locally manufactured products through cross-functional initiatives and targeted sales efforts.

  • Identify new business opportunities across regions and lead initiatives for client acquisition and retention.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and proactively resolve customer issues and claims with professionalism.

  • Lead performance reporting, sales forecasting, and strategic reviews to inform business planning and resource allocation.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Finance, Business, Marketing or related field required.

  • Master's Degree MBA is strongly preferred.


Experience Qualifications

  • 10+ years of prior sales experience and construction background required, with knowledge of building materials

  • 2+ years of progressive leadership in the sales and marketing sector with a demonstrated record of successful sales.
