We are seeking a driven and experienced Area Manager to lead a team of supervisors and warehouse associates on our night shift. This role is responsible for driving performance across productivity, quality, safety, and on-time shipping while fostering a strong, team-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of 1–2 supervisors and up to 100 warehouse associates on assigned shift
Drive performance to meet productivity, quality, safety, and on-time shipping goals
Partner with Operations leadership and support teams to achieve business objectives
Engage with employees throughout the shift to promote a positive and accountable work environment
Develop and execute shift plans, including labor allocation based on volume and demand
Ensure effective communication across shifts to maintain operational continuity
Provide direction and updates to supervisors and team leads on policies and procedures
Track attendance and approve timecards for associates
Coach, train, and retrain employees on processes such as labeling and packaging
Address employee relations issues and partner with HR to resolve conflicts
Monitor KPIs and recommend improvements to exceed performance metrics
Administer progressive discipline when necessary
Reinforce company mission, vision, and operational priorities with team members
Promote and enforce all safety standards and best practices
Support leadership team (GM, AGM, Ops Manager) in daily operations
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems to track orders and troubleshoot issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations
Maintain flexibility to support coverage outside normal working hours as needed
Qualifications
3–5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment
At least 1 year of operations experience in logistics, distribution, or warehouse settings
Experience creating and executing shift plans
Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Suite
Familiarity with Workday is a plus
Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization
Solid understanding of process control and operational efficiency
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable to change
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or walk for 8–10 hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Ability to work overtime during peak seasons (25–30% as needed)
