    Description

    Be part of the Innovation Center Manufacturing team as an Area Manager (2nd Shift), producing high-performance tires for Goodyear Racing. In this role, you will lead 25-30 production associates in a unionized environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

    • Lead and develop a team of production associates

    • Ensure safe and efficient production flow while maintaining quality standards

    • Promote and enforce plant safety practices

    • Ensure adherence to procedures, audits, and standard work

    • Drive continuous improvement and support operational goals (safety, quality, cost, delivery)

    What You Will Do

    • Lead day-to-day operations for the 2nd shift

    • Monitor performance and ensure production targets are met

    • Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Operations)

    • Identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions

    • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement

    What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years relevant work experience.

    • Minimum of one-year relevant work experience, manufacturing or military experience preferred.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams while managing multiple priorities.

    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    • Working knowledge of safety and quality standards, HR policies, and budget management.

    About Company

    Looking back, the founding of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1898 seems especially remarkable, for the beginning was anything but auspicious. The 38-year-old founder, Frank A. Seiberling, purchased the company's first plant with a $3,500 down payment -- using money he borrowed from a brother-in-law Lucius C. Miles. The rubber and cotton that were the lifeblood of the industry had to be transported from halfway around the world, to a landlocked town that had only limited rail transportation.
