Overview:
Care Hospice is seeking an Area Director of Operations for our Sanctuary Hospice team in Ohio (Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, & Youngstown). Ideal candidate is a seasoned hospice leader that has multi-site management experience, passion for hospice, and strong operational background.
***Must be within driving distance of territory and willing to spend at least 75% of time in the assigned territory. Must have prior hospice management experience.***
The Area Director of Operations is responsible for administering and overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of multiple hospice programs/locations consistent with established goals, objectives, policies, and regulations of Care Hospice. The Area Director of Operations is also responsible for compliance with all regulations, laws, policies, and procedures applicable to hospice regulatory guidelines. The Area Director of Operations will manage the affairs of the local branch locations under the general direction of senior management.

Responsibilities:
Inspire and guide the hospice team, ensuring every aspect of daily operations reflects compassion and excellence.
Recruit, mentor, and empower dedicated professionals, fostering a culture where every team member feels valued and supported.
Create and grow programs that bring comfort, dignity, and meaningful support to patients and families in their time of need.
Build strong partnerships with community liaisons, Regional Sales Directors, and Program Directors to extend the reach of our mission and strengthen referral relationships.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, management, or business-related field required.
If RN or LNHA, must have a current unencumbered license in the state of employment.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care management, home health, hospice, or related health programs required.
Minimum Two (2) years of hospice experience required with intimate knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and state department of health regulations.
Marketing or Business Development experience in a healthcare environment required.
Multi-site management experience required, hospice multi-site management experience a plus
Must be willing to travel and spend at least 75% of time in the assigned region.
$150,000 - $160,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
