This position as an Area Chief Engineer is responsible for overall engineering operations at the area hotels supporting multiple brands working with Loudoun County's largest hotel owner and operator. The Area Chief Engineer will oversee the Hampton Inn & Suites and SpringHill Suites Dulles hotels and use your leadership skills leadership and technical skills to ensure effective implementation of maintenance programming and corporate standards to maximize the efficacy of the engineering staff, and the reliability and longevity of building equipment and systems. Effective support of assigned staff to ensure achievement of overall financial results, guest satisfaction and positive team members relations.

Responsibilities:
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Professional certifications in HVAC, boiler operation, electrical, or plumbing preferred or the ability to obtain certification based on policy guidelines.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
10+ years of engineering management experience required, preferably in the hotel industry.
Must be detail oriented, have ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem-solve with team members and guests.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds consistently throughout shift.

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
