The Architectural Products Specialist will work with project teams to assist in the development of details and specifications associated with various decorative metal projects and will be responsible for the successful direction of projects through the effective collaboration of the ISEC Regional teams and outsourced metal fabricators.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with outsourced fabricators • Aid ISEC teams with questions about metal types, finishes, assembly methodology, and best practices • Maintain current information on industry practices, standards, and certifications • Assist in engineering and purchasing strategy on decorative metal, including outsourcing pricing as needed • Participate in estimating value engineering strategies and develop material assembly details as requested • Assist in specific projects to analyze scope, schedule requirements, and coordinate engineering, purchasing, and installation methods to effectively bring decorative metal projects within budget and on schedule • Monitor industry communications regarding price increases, lead time issues, effect of tariffs, or any information that could affect ongoing or future projects • Maintain a database of decorative metal fabricators with contact information and services provided • Review purchasing process and oversee decorative metal fabrication procurement • Attend update meetings for new projects and assist the purchasing agent or project manager as necessary • Maintain a database of estimates and revisions per project • Provide manufacturer recommendations for project-specific pricing • Develop execution plan for certain decorative metal projects with the project team
Business Development, PM, PE, Purchasing
• Review submitted details and specifications checklists on specific decorative metals projects • Communicate any conflicts between specifications and drawings while assembling a deviations log for use by the project team • Ensure ISECs commitments to core values and standards are maintained throughout the metal fabrication and installation process
Possible Travel
• Possible travel to regional offices, metal fabricator locations, and project locations

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to minimum qualifications, the following knowledge, skills, and experience are preferred:
• Bachelors degree in construction management • Experience in all estimating phases of CSI Division 5 metals, specifically focused on: • 05 5000 Metals Fabrications • 05 5814 Column Covers • 05 7000 Decorative Metals • 05 7500 Decorative Formed Metals
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and related commercial construction experience • Minimum 5 years of experience pricing commercial decorative metals, including factory fabrication, material, and field labor costs • Minimum of 5 years commercial construction experience with 3 years in a leadership position
Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with an emphasis on architectural interiors • Practical knowledge of commercial construction, Architectural Woodwork methods, and application of principles • Practical knowledge of commercial construction methods and application of principles • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills • Strong leadership and management skills • Strong sense of accountability • Detail-oriented • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional computer skills • Demonstrated commitment to deliver outstanding service - both with internal and external customers • Ability to take ownership to personally resolve customer issues
